OUTFIT / Colour Block

Hello loves! Happy Sunday, hope you've all had a lovely weekend ^_^

Back from my little break with an outfit post that's literally bursting with colour! yay! I know I'm not the only one who when growing up, thought that good outfit styling meant that everything had to match lol. Like, all the colours had to make sense together and my shoes had to match my top and bag or something or the other lol. Now, whilst effective colour matching is an important styling skill to have, I've come to learn that not everything has to match to look great together and colour blocking is not a sin lol.

What I did with this outfit in particular is that I created it around the clutch purse. The clutch is handmade from a multicolored African-patterned material. I picked my top and my shoes to compliment the yellow and orange accents on the clutch. The pastel blue of my trousers is not on the clutch however you can see how well it fits in with the outfit even though it doesn't really match with anything else. It also has the effect of softening the overall loudness of the outfit with all the colours involved, minimal accessories/jewelry to also helps with this.

HACK / Stuck on an outfit idea? Try this; Find one item - an accessory or article of clothing - that you know you definitely want to wear, and create your outfit around that! ^_^

Hope you like the look dolls. Have a great week!
