Hi beautiful people!
Hope you're all doing well & welcome back to the blog.
This week's post is part II of styling Ama'Queen. I took Phoebe personal shopping (she was very hard to please lol), styled 6 outfits for her and had her model for us - she's a lowkey natural! Take a look at the outfits we came up with together and peep the video below also.
The Shopping
Although Phoebe was open to the idea of branching out of her comfort styling zone in part one of her styling experience - when we hit the shops she did become quite reluctant at times when I selected items that she perhaps would not have picked up for herself. She did however let me have some creative control here and there - lol, and in the end we came up with some great pieces that we both agreed on - for the most part, lol.
The Styling
This was so much fun! Phoebe also provided me with a few new items she had purchased online and we made sense of it all. She was very open with my suggestions and she ended up loving everything and also keeping everything we bought together - even the black lace top that she had absolutely no faith in! lol.
Outfit #1
I decided to start Phoebe off with a simple all-blue look. I love an all <enter a colour here> look - whatever colour it may be. It's such a chic way to create an outfit. Both the jeans and shirt top are from New Look. Watch the video below to see how we modified the shirt top to create a more stylish look.
Outfit #2
For this next outfit we got a bit fancy. Pairing Phoebe's Pretty Little Thing Skirt with this gorgeous Crop Top from Topshop - we created the perfect example of legs out, cleavage out but still effortlessly classy.
Outfit #3
A simplistic but eye-catching outfit with this off-shoulder, striped, hook-and-eye detailed crop top from Topshop. Dress it up with a midi skirt and statement accessories or dress it down with your favourite pair of high waisted jeans and trainers. A perfect all-rounder.
Outfit #4
I mean, how saucy does she look?! This orange jumpsuits from Pretty Little Thing looks amazing on Phoebe's skin tone and the it does a great job in shaping her and making her look tight and right. Paired with this floral black Kimono from New Look it keeps the outfit looking very balanced.
Outfit #5
All black everything. Phoebe absolutely hated this lace detailed, off shoulder top when I picked it off the railing at New Look. Luckily, I convinced her to trust me. I bet you can guess the simple trick we used to turn this top into something Phoebe loved. This top, styled in this way was a perfect match for Phoebe's simple midi bodycon skirt from Pretty Little thing.
Outfit #6
This velvet mint green blouse was another item that Phoebe was not too keen on when I selected it on the hanger. It looked slightly frumpy and the neckline seemed too low. But we went with it anyway and we were both glad that we did. The neckline was just fine and with a little bit of tucking we manipulated the frumpiness of the top to enhance and flatter her shape. Not to mention - the dip in the back of this top is everything and more - it's in the video
I absolutely loved this whole styling experience and will definitely be doing more of these. Watch the video to see how we came up with these looks and to also hear Phoebe's thoughts on her styling experience with me.
