What's Mama's is Mine

As annoying as my mum can be sometimes, if there's one thing I am thankful for, it's her good (although sometimes questionable) sense of fashion. It's so convenient to be able to go into her wardrobe and pick out things that I can rock in a different way to how she would.

You guys saw this blazer on my previous post 'VOILA! Summer Time Colour Blocking I', where I styled it with a polka-dot mini skirt and bright yellow slogan Tee.

As my mum is a couple sizes bigger than me, anything that I borrow from her wardrobe will more than likely have to be worn in an 'oversized' style. Whilst this blazer is not all that big, it's big enough to style as a blazer dress which is what I've done here. However I couldn't decide between wearing it as a dress with no belt, or as a top with a belt, or as a top without a belt so I did a bit of each with these pictures.

Now, my mother being my mother, it's no wonder that she bought this blazer from a random store in Peckham. Since she couldn't remember where from I decided to google the brand stated on the label; 'TOAST'. They seem to be quite a prestige brand as their prices are no joke, but my mum bought this blazer last year for just £25 in a random store at Peckham. She definitely knows how to sniff out a bargain!

Other things also from my mum's wardrobe: the bag which is Michael Kors and the orange slippers which are an old brand that my mum used to love back in the day when I was younger; Jane Shilton. My mum is a size 7 and I'm a size 4 but somehow you can hardly tell that it's too big for me lol. The belt is from Primark and my shorts are from H&M (last year). The blazer has no buttons so I held it together with a broach in the shots without the belt.
