Trackpants & Stilettos

The Colour Saga continues in this weeks post featuring this cool baby blue, orange striped trackpants from H&M. I strolled into H&M one afternoon after work, very innocently to buy some tights (because I was over my primark ones that I kept having to pull up every 10 seconds), and as I perused around I came across these trackpants. I decided to have a peek at the price before I even pulled my size off the railing and it was quite affordable at about £16.99 or £17.99. So I proceeded to look for my size. I tried them on in the changing rooms and was immediately sold. I knew the exact how I would style it - particularly with the shoes as you can see here, it's the perfect orange to go with the striped detail.

The trackpants were actually part of a set, and the matching item was a brightly coloured orange cropped hoodie. I didn't buy the hoodie for two reasons; firstly and quite frankly, I could not afford the luxury of purchasing the complete set, and secondly, I didn't think the bright orange suited me too well and I imagined it styled differently with my all time favourite go to white tank top, also from H&M.

I was supposed to pinch one of my mum's clutch purses to go with this outfit but I forgot so It's just this. My necklaces are from Accessorise and the heels are from Missguided (a while ago).

I love this look because although it's not as in-your-face as the last two posts, it's still bright enough for summer and a lot more my kind of style as you know, I looove the casual but low-key done-up look and trackpants and stilettos deliver just that. (Look at me finding other ways to do casual other than just jeans all the time - ha!)
Can I just say that it was really 9 degrees with light drizzle during this shoot - nothing summer about it at all but I like to think that I'm coaxing summer in by shooting summer outfits in winter weather. I think it was the quickest shoot I've ever done because I was so cold, luckily we got a few good ones. The upcoming bank holiday is set to be glorious with lovely warm temperatures so I think my coaxing has worked quite frankly ^_^ How will you guys be spending your bank holiday? I'll be shooting next week's outfit post, doing my hair, going to church, hopefully treating myself to a mani-pedi and hopefully napping at some point lol.

  1. Once again, JWIC has slayed me! These track pants fit you like a glove. I see you used your method of tucking one part of your shirt in and one out to bring your hips out more. Your shape is out of this world girl!! This look gave me "Jess from around the way" vibes. Chill and casual yet classy. Great job boo. xx
