Shorty-Next-Door

The 'Girl Next Door' look is commonly described as cute, fun, wholesome and conservative and not necessarily sexy. This is my version of the Girl Next Door look - I reckon it's a step up from the traditional look hence why I have dubbed it 'Shorty Next Door'. I feel like this is definitely a look that the average woman can pull off if they wanted to spice up their everyday casual look.

What is a Girl-Next-Door-esque look without a good old pair of denim jeans? These are a pair of Girlfriend Jeans from Primark. Yes, PRIMARK! I Actually love them. For a complete steal at about £13-£14, they are surprisingly a lovely fit and the quality feels legitimate. So far so good and if they do well in the wash they will definitely be joining my Topshop faves. We'll see how that goes!

The average Girl-Next-Door look would probably feature a simple T-Shirt or Blouse. Step it up a level with a fun summery blouse that's simple enough yet eye catching - that could be down to either the colour or the style of blouse. This Top from Forever 21 is simple yet definitely cute and flirty with both the off-the-shoulder and peplum detail. It compliments the jeans really well creating a more sophisticated casual look.

Instead of a pair of sandals or converses, complete the look with a pair of bold coloured heels. These are an old pair from Missguided that I almost always reach for when I want to achieve a pop of colour with my outfits. It's a sort of Coral Orange colour that has nothing to do with this outfit but completes it well.

The baby pink bag is from Zara and also helps to finish off the look effortlessly. I love how all the different colours go together so well. The jacket that you've all probably seen one too many times now is from Romwe. I'm sorry but I just love it and it seems to just compliment everything so here it is again ^_^
